New farmers for future farming systems

France is confronting a two-fold challenge: how do we safeguard food sovereignty in the face of climate change and promote sustainable food systems that benefit human health? Agricultural solutions have a central role to play, but at least 166,000 farmers will retire between now and 2030. How can we help ensure farm generational renewal? How should we approach this challenge, which is an INRAE priority?
