Journée de la Francophonie 2021 - Biodiversity and Health

In connection with the United Nations Agenda 2030 and with a particular focus on biodiversity in view of the World Conservation Congress to be held in Marseille in September 2021, the representations of the member countries of La Francophonie in Sweden are organizing an online conference on the theme "Biodiversity and Health".

As every year, the month of March will honor the French language and the Francophonie. This year, in connection with the United Nations Agenda 2030, in view of the World Conservation Congress to be held in Marseille in September 2021, the representations of the member countries of La Francophonie in Sweden are organizing an online conference on the theme "Biodiversity and Health".

4:30 p.m.- Opening of the 2021 Francophonie Day
by His Excellency the Ambassador of Belgium, Mr. Hugo Brauwers and by the Secretary General of Folkuniversitet, Mrs. Cecilia Palm

4:40 p.m. - Presentation of the Young Francophone Ambassadors of Sweden Award for Sustainable Development

Their Excellencies Riadh Ben Sliman, Tunisian Ambassador to Sweden, Francisco del Rio, Mexican Ambassador to Sweden and Etienne de Gonneville, French Ambassador to Sweden will present the "Swedish Young Francophone Ambassadors for Sustainable Development Awards" to the winning classes.

5:00 pm - Conferences in French - Theme: Biodiversity and health
With the participation of Nathalie Charbonnel, Director of Research,
Centre for Biology and Population Management (INRAE, CIRAD, IRD, Montpellier SupAgro).
Nathalie Charbonnel will present her work on the evolutionary ecology of small mammals in the context of zoonoses and conservation biology.
