- 17 joint research units (UMR), jointly supervised with other research or higher education organisations

Experimental units and facilities
The BAP division's experimental facilities consist of 17 experimental units and 2 experimental facilities.
These facilities are places of innovation, demonstration and integration into national and European initiatives.
The activities of the experimental units include :
- Conducting experiments as part of research programmes based on joint development of the experimental component with the research units
- Conducting experiments for variety creation and evaluation of new varieties
- Maintaining, multiplying and characterising genetic resources

Biological Resource Centres (BRCs)

These facilities conserve and manage genetic resource collections ex situ for the purposes of heritage conservation, research and innovation.
The 16 BRCs under the supervision of the BAP-INRAE division, either independently or jointly with partners (CIRAD, CNBP), form the ISC-INRAE of plant BRCs. They are part of the CRBs of the plant pillar of the RARe Research Infrastructure, along with 5 CRBs under other supervision (IRD, ESA, CIRAD, Et. Vanille de Tahiti).
The BAP Division's Platforms

These facilities provide services in genomics, epigenomics, cytogenetics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, cytology, imaging, mutant collections, and phenotyping under controlled conditions, from molecules to whole plants.
