Brittany-Normandy
Based in western France, our teams help generate knowledge and propose innovations to improve the sustainability of food systems in regions with high production density and address societal concerns.
With nearly 1,200 researchers, engineers, and technicians working across 22 research, experimental, and support units, the INRAE Brittany-Normandy center focuses its research on developing sustainable production systems that are resilient to climatic, economic, and environmental challenges.
Our research is organized around four themes:
- Agroecology and sustainable management of terrestrial and aquatic agroecosystems
- Integrative biology of plants, farm animals, and their associated organisms
- Food, nutrition, and human health
- Economics and public policy related to agriculture and the environment
